Karogoto Peaberry has dark fruit and a sweetness that is somewhere between fruit juice and molasses sugar. The dry grounds have a raw sugar and raisin smell up front, with clean hibiscus flower scent at the back end end of the fragrance. A blackstrap molasses smell accents the fruits in the wet aroma, a smell of cardamom and cinnamon spices permeating from the crust, and red raisin and dried plum are produced on the break. Karogoto is a juicy coffee in both weight and fruit juice flavors. A sweet and spiced fruited flavor like spiced plum jam comes through in light roasts, along with tart cranberry/lemon notes. The acidic impression is a mix of citrus tang and the tartness of grape skins. Karogoto's finish comes to a point, a clean and succinct aftertaste, and ends somewhat abruptly. Subtle winey dark grape flavor, that moves into berry fruit jam notes, and bittersweet mix of dark chocolate and cinnamon. Karagoto's big body makes for a mouthpleasing brew, and will double well as SO espresso too. This description is from the cupping notes of our coffee importer, Sweet Maria's
