The Limu, Oromia region has decades of Arabica coffee production on both privately and publicly owned plantations. Over the past years, the farmers, as well as the washing stations, in the region became more skilled at processing their coffees. Today, the Limu qualities are far more consistent with a fine lemony acidity and subtle flavors. Limu is still a very remote region with large swaths of land covered with tropical rainforests. Regional farmers take advantage of the shade provided by the large forest trees and the rich soil is of course part of that terroir.
