Mungaria offers bracing acidity in the light roast with aromatic highlights that are elegant and complex. Grinding the coffee released some fruited sweetness, with a scent of sugar cane juice, and citrus. There was a very potent brown sugar scent in the wet aroma, alluring and sweet, with a blackberry accent, and a very nice black tea note that was released when running my spoon through the crust. The cup had resonant sweetness at City roast level that hinted at brown sugars, and a note of red honey. That alone is enough to make this coffee a daily drinker for me, but stopping my description at sweet would be a major disservice! The cup cools to fruited accents of orange and apple, with an acidic impression that brought to mind bracing citrus, like a tart orange. Hints of baking spice and other fruits marked the cup aroma with each sip, and I picked up on flavor profiles of black currant, rhubarb, and aromatic Bergamot oil as the coffee cooled. Mungaria made a stunning cup of coffee, our light roasts were so sweet and bright, and should stand up to a shade darker roast level too.
