Product Description

Light roasts produce restrained fruit flavors, with transparent sweetness, earthy tea notes, and perfumed floral aromatics. The sweetness in the dry grounds was accented by a note of fruit juice, followed by toasted sugars, and a floral note up top that adds a very nice delicate aspect. The wet aroma has dark honey-like sweetness, along with sweet tea, and jasmine. The cup has an overt jasmine floral note that lingers in the finish. As it cools, fruited flavor profiles come up, like canned pear, and white grape juice, with lemon-like citric vibrance at City that is illuminated by a flavor note of lemon verbena adding a nice, aromatic quality to the coffee. I really like the way these light roasts cool, the profile included hints of barley tea, which pairs very well with a twist of lime, and pleasantly tannic bittering in the finish. The sweetness is pretty transparent, like simple syrup at this roast level, and the aftertaste has some earth-toned tea notes too (Pu'er and woodsy Yerba Mate are what came to mind for me). I found Full City roasts to have an impressive juicy quality, that with an aromatic floral accent, brought out syrupy flavors like stone fruit nectar (think Kerns apricot drink), with some bittering cocoa swirled in.
