The ground coffee has smells of graham cracker with a dusting of baking cocoa powder. Adding hot water bolsters the sweet smells and brings about a scent of warm caramel sauce with roasted peanut. The cup packs a dense mouthfeel with pleasant weight that underscores layered chocolate flavors. The middle goes from Hersheys syrup, to semi-sweet chocolate to a bittering baking cocoa flavor in the long finish. There's a hint of carob too - a more earth-toned chocolate substitute. The coffee has mild to moderate apple-like acidity too, and expect roasted nut accent notes. Sure to make a crowd-pleasing French Press that stands up to cream (if you prefer), and also doubles nicely as espresso.
