Product Description

This Icatu lot made for a very well balanced brew at both City and Full City. The grounds had notes of dark cocoa and chocolate hazelnut spread, while the wet aroma was accented by notes of pistachio, and honey. At City roast level, the brewed coffee has a very nice butter caramel note at its core that leads into mild top notes of toffee almond, and nougat. The cup has fairly mild acidity, though light roasts have a hint of citrus. Full City roasts should make phenomenal single origin espresso (SO). The cup sweetness still comes through strong, and finds equal footing with a mix of semi sweet and high % cacao type chocolates. Body is boosted quite a bit too, while acidity is completely flattened. Perfect for espresso or milk drinks. This description is from the cupping notes of our coffee importer, Sweet Maria's
