The dry fragrance has smells of creamy nut sweetness, like raw Brazil nut, hazelnut, with notes of milk chocolate. The sweetness in the wet aroma is a bit more pronounced and pushes a smell of brown sugar and nut, like pecan bar, with a hint of almond paste. Drinking my lightest City+ roast, there's a mild underlying sweetness of molasses and caramel notes, along with flavors of nut chews and honey roasted peanut. Acidity is on the mild side, but I did pick up on some tannic bittering in the finish (especially in lighter roasts). Full City roasts have roasted cacao nibs, chocolate syrup and more in the real of bitter-to-sweet roast tone. Body is immense, and one of this coffee's strengths. It makes such a creamy espresso shot too, low-toned, bittersweet, and perfect for milk drinks. This description is from the cupping notes of our coffee importer, Sweet Maria's
