This lot shows a clean sweetness and roasted nut mixture, like sugar-glazed almonds, and brisk acidity. The fragrance at City to City+ highlights these aspects, and adding hot water builds on the honey-like aspect, like phyllo pastry drizzled with honey, brown sugar, and a note of green tea. Our Full City+ roast produced a bittersweet backdrop, with subtle dried fruit note on the break. When hot, this cup shows a nice acidic vibrance in the cup. City roasts carried a bright lemon note, not Kenya bright, but pronounced for a Central American coffee, with aspects of lemon water and zest. The base coffee flavors are built around raw sugars, almond, and a touch of toasted grain. These lightest roasts have a green tea-like quality, adds to the mouth-cleansing affect, and a toasted barley note fits right in. My Full City+ roast was bittersweet, with thick, creamy body carrying flavors of dark truffle chocolates, and finishing with notes of baker's cocoa powder, and black walnut. This type of flavor profile is perfect for espresso, something I'll try after a few more days of rest. This description is from the cupping notes of our coffee importer, Sweet Maria's
