Product Description

The dry fragrance of my City roast had brown sugar oatmeal cookie sweetness with accents of dried fruit. The sweetness was really emphasized in the wet aroma, pulling out a scent of warm honey, light brown sugar, and dried date. It brews a very sweet cup at a wide range of roasts too, with lively brightness that's mouth refreshing at the lighter end of that spectrum. City and City+ roasts highlight top notes of raw sugars at the front of the cup, with hints of ripe plum, and tangy golden raisin. As I moved through the cup, the flavors had a sweet tea aspect that brought to mind honey-sweetened black tea, with subtle spice notes in the aftertaste. Top notes are subtle, and tempered by balanced bittersweetness. The Full City roast brought out more bittering chocolate flavors that we really enjoyed, along with heftier body too. It still had fairly sweet finishing notes that came off like Almond Joy chocolate/coconut, with a hint of vanilla caramel.
