Product Description

Smells of raw honey, sweet and floral, are a highlight of the ground coffee smells. Lo Mejor de Caicedo shows intense sweetness in the nose, something that we're happy to say transfers to the brewed coffee as well. The wet aroma has a buttery toffee sweetness that is complimented by a subtle whiff of dried stone fruit. A raw honey flavor resonates in the brewed cup, City roasts imparting wild flower honey sweetness that fills out the coffee profile from start to finish. As the coffee cools off a bit, dried fruit notes begin to take shape, allusions to golden raisin and dried apple are noted, as well as the crisp sweetness of a Bosc pear. A mild acidic impression finds it's way through in light roasts too and comes off as tea-like. I found Full City to be a bit too dark for this coffee, the bittering roast tones out of balance with this coffee's inherent sweetness. City and City+ roasting is where I found this coffee's literal sweet spot, and where incredible honey-sweet character opens up and makes a lasting impression on the palate.
