How Do We Handle Payment?

We accept payment through check or cash as well as any major credit or debit card and Paypal.

Credit / Debit Card

You can use Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover to pay for your order. Just chose the "Pay by Card" option at checkout. You can be confident that your financial information is totally secure. Joe By Schmo does not have any access to your data. When you hit the "Pay" button, a secure encrypted token sends your card information from your web browser directly to the credit card processing company we use, Stripe.

Paypal

Paypal is a world-leader in online payments. You use your Paypal account linked to your credit card or bank account, to pay for all sorts of things from a huge variety of online retailers, including Joe By Schmo. Paypal is easy, secure, and fast. You can rest assured that your financial information is totally secure. Joe By Schmo does not have any access to your data.

Check or Cash

Payment by check or cash can be handled before the time of roast. You can mail checks to the roastery. Check or cash can be handled in person; do not send cash in the mail!

 

If I Order, When Will It Be Ready?

We roast-to-order, meaning that your beans are green unroasted until you submit your order. Once we receive your order, we set up the roast schedule and hand-tailor each of your batches. Your order is nearly always ready within 24-hours of placing the order.

 

Pick-Ups

Lots of customers place an order to be picked up. After we roast your order, we will contact you via email to let you know its ready for you to pick up. You can pick it up from either the roastery or Tim's daytime office. Find out more here.

 

Shipment

Many customers place an order that needs to be shipped. After roasting, we package your order with care and take it to the post office for shipment as Priority Mail. Most of the Mid-Atlantic is 2-Day shipping. The eastern half of the US is 3-Day shipping. No matter where you live in the US, you'll be receiving this coffee at the peak of freshness.
